After procuring the Admission form, the duly filled in form is to be submitted for registration in DOA’s office. Students seeking admission into Lower KG, Upper KG and Grade I are assessed for eligibility on the spot. However, students seeking admission into Grade II to Grade IX are to appear for a written entrance examination conducted by the school on the basis of English, Mathematics and Hindi/Assamese on the exit level of the previous class followed by a personal interaction with the Principal.DOCUMENTS REQUIREDDOCUMENTSThe following documents are required as a part of the Admission procedure for every student applying for admission.ATTESTED BIRTH CERTIFICATEThe original Birth Certificate must be brought to the School at the time of admission. LKG/UKG and for other classes on the day of admission in the School. This will be returned after verification.The Birth Certificate should be issued by the Registrar of Births and Deaths of the area in which the student was born. Affidavits, certificates from the hospital or certificate from any other person will not be accepted. Misrepresentation of age or falsification of date of birth will result in cancellation of admission forthwith.TRANSFER CERTIFICATE, CHARACTER CERTIFICATEA valid Transfer Certificate from the school last attended, issued by the Principal immediately prior to the student joining at RGS as well as a Character Certificate are essentially requirements and must be submitted on the day the students joins the School. In addition, the student is required to present the last Report Card indicating promotion to the next class as well as proof of attendance for the previous year. Until the TC and other documents are received by RGS, the student’s admission will be considered provisional.In addition of the above, the following documents need to be submitted without any failure at the time of admission only along with the fees where applicable.Proof of address of parents.Copies of Passport/VISA (only for foreign and NRI students).Pass Certificate / Migration Certificate (for XI).Duly filled up Medical Emergency form stating details regarding allergies, asthma, diabetes etc. medications and first aid needed at the time of emergency.Duly filled in Parents undertaking form.Duly filled up Transport Request form (for students opting to use School transport.Duly filled up Hostel Admission Form (for students opting for Hostel facility), with local guardian’s signature and photo.Two nos. colour P.P. size photo of each of the local guardians (if any) with name of the student written behind each.PHOTOGRAPHSThe colour photographs should show full face of the applicant frontally.Four recent passport size colour photographs of each parent with name and relationship written behind each.Two recent passport size colour photographs of each of the local guardians and authorised visitors with name and relationship written behind back of each (for Hostellers only).4 noscolour PP size photo of the student with name of the student written behind each.ADMISSION FORMDOWNLOAD SCHOOL ADMISSION FORMDOWNLOAD ADMISSION FORM FOR CLASS XIADMISSION REGISTRATIONTHE PROCESSRegistration starts from 14th October, 2015.Parents may avail online registration facility.The prospective parent or guardian should first register the child for the class for the particular years in which admission is sought.The Registration Form duly filled in, along with the required registration fee, attested photocopy of the student’s birth certificate, two passport size recent colour photographs of the child with the name written behind each of the photographs to be deposited/sent immediately along with the filled Registration Form.After scrutiny of Registration Form, the School would inform the parent about confirmation of registration along with the Registration Number. Please always remember to quote the Registration Number of the child in all correspondence in connection with admission of the child.Registration fee is neither refundable nor adjustable. Registration of a pupil is not a guarantee to admission.Date and Timing of Admission Test/interview to be intimated to the parents and after admission test the result will be informed to the parents.PROCEDURE TO BE FOLLOWED AFTER REGISTRATIONDate and timing of selection as per policy criteria adopted above.Parents/ Guardians of selected students will be informed by the School. However, the admission shall be treated as confirmed only if the fees and security deposits have been paid within the stipulated time acknowledged.
